8:00 PM – Pioneer Room, Memorial Union - Richard Barnet is a Senior Fellow of the Institute For Policy Studies, an independent center devoted to research on public policy questions. Besides founding the Institute in 1963, he has written several books, including Global Reach: The Power of the Multi-National Corporations which he co-authored with Ronald Muller. During the Kennedy Administration he was an official of the State Department and the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency. he was also a consultant to the Department of Defense. 3:00 PM – Pioneer Room, Memorial Union - Glenn Johnson is internationally known for his extensive research in farm management, national agricultural policy, and economic development in developing countries, as well as for his contributions to the theory of fixed assets. Dr. Johnson was the first director of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Nigeria. He has served as a consultant to the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations, the Agency for International Development, and other public and private organizations. Peace Through Arms Control - Randall Forsberg
8:00 PM – Great Hall, Memorial Union - Ms. randall Forsberg is the president and Executive Director of the Institute for Defense and Disarmament Studies, a research organization which studies the nature and purposes of military forces and the obstacles to opportunities for disarmament. She has worked at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute and contributes regularly on such topics as U.S. and Soviet nuclear weapons and world military researcha nd development. As a member of Boston Study Group, Ms. Forsberg co-authored The Price of Defense which describes present U.S. defense policy, forces and budget. Part of the World Affairs Series: Prospects For Peace

The Common Defense - Charles Burton Marshall

He has served on the Policy Planning Staff of the U.S. Department of State and as a research associate with the Washington Center of Foreign Policy Research. Dr. Marshall has held academic positions at Harvar, Radcliffe, Texas A&M and has been the Paul H. Nitze Professor of International Politics at the John Hopkins University. 8:00 PM – Sun Room, Memorial Union - Richard A. Falk is the Albert G. Milbank Professor of International Law and Practice at Princeton University. He has written extensively on the role of international law in affecting foreign policy and creating global order. Among the many books and articles he has written or edited are the following: The Strategy of World Order, 4 Vols., This Endangered Planet, A Study of Future Worlds, and The War Systems: An Interdisciplinary Approach.
