Film: Tell Me a Riddle
4:00 PM – Pioneer Room, Memorial Union - Melvin Douglas and Lila Kedrova give poignant performances in lee Grant's bittersweet look at a married couple. The film was adapted from Tillie Olsen's book.

Roles, Reels and Reality - Mary Beth Haralovich and Carmon Weets
12:00 PM – Pioneer Room, Memorial Union - Mary Beth Haralovich will discuss "Sex, Class and Censorship" in her presentation about working women in Hollywood films of the 30's. Formerly on faculty at Iowa State, she is currently assistant professor of the University of Arizona, serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Film and Video and recently returned from lecturing in Scotland and England.
Carmon Weets worked on Adventures in Babysitting at the Disney Studios with Hill/Obst Productions and is now working at Columbia Pictures with Linda Obst Productions. She served as location manager and production coordinator on several feature films including Richard Gere's Miles from Home and Touchstone Pictures' Heartbreak Hotel. She is a 1986 graduate of Iowa State University.

Politics and the Actor - Edward Asner
8:00 PM – Sun Room, Memorial Union - Edward Asner has won five Golden Globes and seven Emmys for his performances in film and on television. He served as national president of the Screen Actors Guild for two terms and is involved in many humanitarian and peace efforts. He is a founding member of L.A. Classic Theater Works and develops projects through his company Quince/Blake Productions.

4:00 PM – Varsity Theater, Campus Town - Oscar winner Gene Hackman and Willem Defoe star in this controversial motion picture which examines the FBI's role in the 1964 investigation of the disappearance of three Civil Rights workers. Alan Parker directed this powerful motion picture which captures the terror of the times.
