Economic Rights and the Future of International Human Rights - Holly Burkhalter
8:00 PM – South Ballroom, Memorial Union - Holly Burkhalter is the director of advocacy for Human Rights watch, a private human rights monitoring and research organization. She is director of their Washington office and has frequently testified before Congress on human rights. Before joining Human Rights Watch, she staffed the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on human Rights and International Organizations.

Prior to Ishmael, Quinn had a thirty-three year career as a writer, editor, and publisher. 12:00 PM – Pioneer Room, Memorial Union - Denis Goulet is the O'Neill Professor in Education for Justice, University of Notre Dame. he holds concurrent appointments in the department of Economics, the Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies and the Joan B. Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. A pioneer in the study of development ethics he has published over 150 articles and monographs and ten books including: Ethics of Development, The Cruel Choice, A New Moral Order, and Incentives for development: The Key to Equity.
