12:00 PM – Pioneer Room, Memorial Union - Rev. Keith Ratliff of the maple Street Baptist Church; Rev. William cotton of the Grace Untied Methodist Church and board member of the Iowa Inter-Faith Alliance; Rev. David Ruhe of Plymouth congregational united Church of Christ; and Rev. John Palmer of the First Assembly of God will describe recent efforts in the Des Moines religious community to find common ground despite strong political differences during recent elections.

A Native Perspective - Winona Laduke
8:00 PM – Sun Room, Memorial Union - Winona Laduke is program director of the Seventh Generation fund's Environmental program, a native American advocacy organization, and campaign director of the White Earth Recovery Project, a reservation-based land acquisition environmental advocacy and cultural organization. She is a member of the Mississippi Band of Chippewa of the White Earth Reservation.

12:00 PM – Oak Room, Memorial Union - Osha Gray Davidson is the author of The Best of Enemies: Race and Redemption in the New South which has been nominated for both the Robert S. Kennedy Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. His other books include Under Fire: The National Rifle Association and the Battle for Gun Control and Broken Heartland: The Rise of America's Rural Ghetto.

Teaching Tolerance - Morris Dees
8:00 PM – Sun Room, Memorial Union - Morris Dees is the founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center, a nonprofit group that specializes in lawsuits involving civil rights violations and racially motivated crimes which won a $7 million judgment against the Klan. He is the author of Gathering Storm: America'[s Militia Threat: A Season Against America's Most Dangerous Neo-Nazi. His film "A Time for Justice" won the 1995 Academy Award for Best Short Documentary.
