The Language of Silence: West German Literature and The Holocaust - Ernestine Schlant Bradley
12:00 PM – Gallery, Memorial Union - Ernestine Bradley is wife, mother, educator, author and cancer survivor. She is a professor of German and Comparative Literature at Montclair State University. Her latest book, The Language of Silence: West German Literature and the Holocaust, published in March 1999, examine the work of post-war German authors as they reflect or fail to reflect on the genocide.

6:30 PM – Sun Room, Memorial Union - Bill Bradley served in the U.S. Senate from 1979-1997, and has made race relations a priority in his presidential campaign. Bill Bradley graduated from Princeton University and was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford University. He won an Olympic gold medal in basketball in 1964 and played professional basketball for the New York Knicks. International Debt - Adolfo Perez Esquivel
8:00 PM – Sun Room, Memorial Union - Adolfo Perez Esquivel is the 1980 Nobel Peace Prize winner. An accomplished sculptor and architect, he founded the Peace and Justice Service, a grassroots network of organizations throughout South America. When the right-wing military took control of the Argentinian Government in 1976, Esquivel worked for the "disappeared" and was even held prisoner and tortured. He is the President of the international League for the Rights and Liberation of Peoples and the author of Christ in a Poncho and Walking Together with the People.
