Me Talk Pretty One Day
David Sedaris
Thursday, 19 Apr 2001 at 8:00 pm – Great Hall, Memorial Union
David Sedaris, humorist and best-selling author, made his National Public Radio debut with "Santaland Diaries," a widely funny monologue recounting his strange-but-true experiences being a green-tight clad elf at a Macy's store holiday display. Seders' sardonic humor and incisive social critique have sine made him one of NPR's most popular and humorous commentators. His current books, Me Talk Pretty One Day, was an instant New York Times bestseller. His other bestsellers include Naked and Barrel Fever. He also is a frequent contributor to Esquire and The New Yorker. Collaborating under the name, "The Talent Family," his and his sister, Amy, have written several plays that have been produced in New York City. Seders also taught writing at the Art Institute of Chicago for two years.Cosponsored By:
