Dan Linn was one of the leading voices for passing the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act and the City of Chicago's municipal cannabis decriminalization ordinance. He has worked extensively with lawmakers and activists in Illinois and built a coalition of groups to advocate for changing cannabis policy, offender re-entry programs, and broader drug policy reform. With a grant from the Marijuana Policy Project in 2008 he founded the Illinois Cannabis Patients Association to better represent medical cannabis patients' interests to the Illinois General Assembly. He has been a registered lobbyist and helped the Illinois Senate pass a medical cannabis bill in 2009. Lecture Etiquette
- Stay for the entire lecture and the brief audience Q&A. If a student needs to leave early, he or she should sit near the back and exit discreetly.
- Do not bring food or uncovered drinks into the lecture.
- Check with Lectures staff before taking photographs or recording any portion of the event. There are often restrictions. Cell phones, tablets and laptops may be used to take notes or for class assignments.
- Keep questions or comments brief and concise to allow as many as possible.
