Senator Hogg represented Cedar Rapids during the flood of 2008. A fourth-generation Iowan, he is a graduate of the University of Iowa and earned a master's degree in energy policy from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute for Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota as well. Hogg is serving his second term in the Iowa Senate after two terms in the Iowa House.
