Saturday, 21 Apr 2012 at 9:00 pm – Stephens Auditorium, Iowa State Center

Actress and comedian Kristen Schaal joined The Daily Show in 2008 as a writer and special commentator. She is perhaps best known for her role as Mel in the HBO series Flight of the Conchords and Louise in Bob's Burgers. She was also a writer and consultant for South Park season eleven. Her recent live comedy performances include John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show, the Bonnaroo Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A graduate of Northwestern University, Schaal's comedy career got a jump start in 2005 when she was included in New York Magazine's "The Ten Funniest New Yorkers You've Never Heard Of." She and Daily Show writer Rich Blomquist are coauthors of The Sexy Book of Sexy Sex. Schaal's comedy partner Kurt Braunohler will open. VEISHEA 2012
