An aficionada of comic books and ladies' magazines is Mary Helen Dunlop, an instructor in the English Department at ISU. Like Caesar, she cut her undergraduate eyeteeth on Latin, then became enamoured with 19th century British literature in graduate school. Ms. Dunlop is co-author of the AAUP Report on the Status of Women at Iowa State University and has presented papers before other professional groups within her discipline.Part of the National Affairs Series: Pop! Stay for the entire event, including the brief question-and-answer session that follows the formal presentation. Most events run 75 minutes.
Sign-ins are after the event concludes. For lectures in the Memorial Union, go to the information desk in the Main Lounge. In other academic buildings, look for signage outside the auditorium.
