Professor Robert Scalapino, chairman of the Department of Political Science, University of California, Berkeley, is editor of the journal Asian Survey. he is a consultant for the Rockefeller Founadtion. professor Scalapino is widely known and respected for his knowledge of Asian Communism and was one of those experts called to testify at the 1966 United States Senate Foreign Relations committee hearings on United States policy toward China.Part of the World Affairs Series: The Problem of ChinaStay for the entire event, including the brief question-and-answer session that follows the formal presentation.
